I am registered with BACP and UKCP and have over 30 years of extensive therapeutic experience working as a psychotherapist and counsellor, addressing various issues that clients may bring. For the past two decades, I have specialised in working with Trauma and Dissociation in individuals who have experienced developmental trauma and abuse. As the managing director and owner of a Trauma Centre, I lead a team that provides specialised services in these areas. Many of our referrals are for children who are looked after, in care or post-adoption, and their families. Additionally, I am a part-time senior University lecturer, teaching a MSc in Counselling.
In addition to the above activities, I offer online Clinical Supervision to Counselors, Psychotherapists, and Mental Health Practitioners through my private practice. I have over twenty years of supervisor experience and enjoy this role very much.
I have published academically and non-academically on various topics, including my specialism of trauma and dissociation. I have also delivered keynote speeches, workshops, and training on the subject nationally and internationally. I am the Deputy Chair of the BACP Children and Young People Executive Committee and am secretary of the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation.
